We came across an oldie but a goodie book recently — If Disney Ran Your Hospital: 9½ Things You Would Do Differently by Fred Lee.
OK, stop if you saying, “I don’t work in a hospital so what do I care?”
You do work for a medical facility as an outsourcer. So here’s what you should always know:
Know thy client — inside-out. Their strengths. Their weaknesses. Their needs. That’s when you’ll gain business.
This book talks mostly of customer service, as if a hospital should cater to patients like Disney does to tourists. There’s a lot of truth in that. The lessons are transferrable. Treat your clients like a king. Anticipate their needs like “Radar” always did in M*A*S*H. Hear the choppers before they land.
Read the book. It says a lot of what ClaimTek Systems believes with its clients. Customer service will always win over clients.
