It’s Monday so you don’t feel like working. Good thing someone invented coffee.
It’s August so it’s too hot to work. Good thing someone invented air conditioning.
It’s a recession so it seems like there’s no work. Good thing someone invented motivation.
OK, are we done saying we can’t get anything done today and move on to what we can do?
It’s summertime blues part of the year. You want to enjoy the good weather while it lasts and need a break before September returns many to the grind of school for kids.
OK, we’ll give you a small break. But, first, let’s do three things that improve your business.
1. Review your contact sheet. Is it up to date? Are you sure? Organize your email and mailing labels for the next promotion you want to send so it’s ready to go. This will save you time later on a day when feeling more productive.
2. Review your overdue invoices. Who owes you money? Pick up the phone and shake some loose.
3. Have you talked with all of your clients in the last two weeks? Sometimes we just trudge along and forget that basic human contact is more important than we think. Pick up the phone – or better yet – stop by just to say hello on your way to run errands.
