Let’s talk opportunity

Posted by admin  Published in jobs in Medical Claims

We see the national unemployment numbers are now touching 10 million people.

10,000,000.

Just staggering. We’re two years into this recession and while Wall Street is healthy, it’s everyday people who have been layed off that keep stocks inflated. But, when will these people ever go back to work? It’s sadly looking like no time soon.

What are these people to do — to pay their mortgages, put food on the table and shoes on their kids’ feet?

Many are starting their own business.

One great thing about healthcare is it’s only going to grow in coming years as our nation ages. The baby boomers are becoming gray eagles and using the health care system to its max. That means more and more billing.

When considering what business you should open, let’s talk medical billing. How you can train in your own home. Have modest startup costs and no monthly franchise fees. Work flexible hours.

ClaimTek Systems offers the finest medical billing software and we have past clients who will back it up. You can try out the software because we’re confident once you see it, you’ll want it.

So let’s talk. Call us at 1-800-224-7450 and discuss how to start your future.

Going to college for knowledge

Posted by admin  Published in jobs in Medical Claims

The great part of medical billing is anyone can do it. Many of our associates are from all walks of life. Loggers and grocery store managers, immigrants and senior citizens. Some of them never even used a computer before.

Now Dade Medical College is showing the business some respect by adding medical billing and code training programs. The south Florida school will require students to complete 800 clock hours over 10 months beginning May 3 to learn billing for patient services and procedures. Students will also learn anatomy, medical terminology and physiology. The program has been accredited by Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.

Jobs still to be found in health care

Posted by admin  Published in jobs in Medical Claims

There’s an old saying: A recession is when your brother-in-law lost his job. A depression is when you lose your job.

Well, more than 6.7 million people have lost their jobs since Dec. 2007, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. July saw 247,000 more people out of work, which was hailed as an improvement over previous monthly losses. I’m sure those 247,000 didn’t feel better off.

But the Bureau also reported 20,000 people were hired in the health care field in July. The government agency said 20,000 was consistent with the monthly gains by the industry every month this year.

That’s 120,000 people who found jobs in health care.

So what does that mean to you? More work. The more people working in the field, the more claims needing processing to pay for their services.

So when you’re thinking if medical claims processing is for you, remember what industry is hiring.
