AMA report card grades top 8 payers

The American Medical Association releases its second annual National Health Insurer Report Card that rates claim denials, timeliness, accuracy and transparency. The top eight showed improvement, but still need improving.
Aetna offered the lowest claim denial rate of 1.8 percent while Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield was the highest at 4.3 percent.

Minnesota goes electronic

The land of 1,000 lakes just hit the grid to provide a new fishing hole of opportunities for medical claims processors.

California docs spend $9 billion on claims processing
